Membership forms for 2010 are now available from the how to join our club section. Please complete them as fully as possible, even exisitng members. Occupation, skills, experience are important in developing volunteers and a skill base to help progress the club. Contact details are vital for letting you know whats going on at the club and getting in touch with you in case of an emergency.

The Cricket COmmittee

The league have produced a small help sheet for those players who umpire their own games on a saturday (i.e 2's, 3's and 4's). It gives you a few pointers and clarifications of the LBW law, where to stand at the non strikers end etc etc. Its well worth a read, even for those of us who know (or at least think they know) how to umpire already as there is nothing worse then giving your own player out wrongly because you wernt sure of the laws. The guide can be found on the league website or can be downloaded from the homepage or members section.

BERLIN TOUR 2010

After a productive tour meeting last week we have decided to take our next European Tour to Berlin.
We will be leaving these shores on Sunday August 1st and playing 3 games in Germany. Then we'll be heading back on Friday 6th August.
We'll be taking a £50 deposit off people in January

On the 24th April 2010 the 1st X1 will travel to Old Brentwoods To play their 1st round game. If they win they will be away at either Old Southendians Or South Woodford in the 2nd round.
